Tip Money:
We will be collecting $250 cash (USD) from each person at our welcome meeting to cover all tips for our tour guide, bus driver, bellmen, kitchen staff at hotels, housekeeping, and front desk hotel employees. Please bring your tips in USD in the following denominations:
1 – $100, 2 – $50, 2 – $20’s, 1 – $10.
We recommend that you carry no more than $200 additional cash (not including tip) for spending money (shopping & lunches) while in Israel. The best thing is to bring credit cards/debit cards as most places take them and it’s safer to travel with them. There are ATM machines that will be available to you where you can get shekels.
VERY IMPORTANT
Every traveler is required by the State of Israel to complete an ETA-IL form. The cost is 25 shekels per person (approximately $6.94). You can fill out the form HERE.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip to protect your investment and give you peace of mind from the moment you book. One provider we confidently recommend is Faye Travel Insurance, known for its excellent reviews, easy purchasing process, and modern, traveler-friendly coverage. Policies typically range from $120–$250 per traveler, depending on the level of coverage you choose, including trip cancellation, delays, medical needs, and more. FAQ
Is it safe to travel to Israel?
Yes. This is the most common question we receive. The reality on the ground consistently surprises travelers—in the best way. Many guests share that they felt safer in Israel than in parts of major U.S. cities. While Israel is in the Middle East and political tensions do exist, tourism is a major industry and security is taken extremely seriously. If the U.S. State Department issues a travel advisory and our on-the-ground partners in Israel agree travel is unsafe, the trip will be rescheduled. Your safety is our #1 priority!
Will I have a roommate?
Trip pricing is based on double occupancy. You may request a roommate, or we’ll pair you with someone of a similar age and gender. If a suitable roommate is not available for your trip, you will be responsible for upgrading to a single room at the applicable rate. Single rooms are available at a higher cost upon request.
How much luggage can I bring?
Each traveler may bring one carry-on, one personal item, and one checked bag. We strongly recommend packing light, as it makes hotel check-ins and bus travel much smoother while on the ground in Israel.
Will there be baptisms in the Jordan River?
Yes. We will visit the Jordan River, and anyone who wishes to be baptized will have that opportunity.
Will there be time to shop?
Absolutely. We build in time to shop and guide you to trusted locations with fair pricing—while helping you avoid tourist traps.
What happens in the evenings?
Evenings are largely free. Some nights may include optional gatherings with local leaders, but after dinner you’re free to explore. In Jerusalem, typically you will be within walking distance of the Old City. In Galilee, you’ll be staying along the Sea of Galilee with easy access to the shoreline and nearby Tiberias.
Will we swim in the Dead Sea?
Yes. You’ll have time to experience floating in the Dead Sea.
We are so excited for this amazing and beautiful trip!
